OUR PROJECTS

This is a Creative Discovery Project that was sponsored by the Cal Arts and Design Program and created by Images of History R4B Spring 2019:  Instructor Patricia Steenland, Sarah Cortas, Daniel Garcia, Aivant Goyal, Chris Iba, Quinn Iverson, Nikhil Jain, Capri Krug, Kevin Li, Amy Oh, Ryan Searcy, Julia Tjan, and Michelle Zhou. Riley Togashi created the Adobe Spark page for Monroe Deutsch.

 

This class was also part of the UC Berkeley Library of Congress pilot project and had support from Adobe Fellows.

 

These figures were designed and created by Ryan Searcy.

 

The Yoshiko Uchida laser cut image was inspired by and based on a photo located in the Bancroft Library: Banc Pic 1986.059:198--PIC. The Mine Okubo laser cut image was inspired by and based on a photo located in the Bancroft Library: BANC PIC 1967.014--PIC. The Monroe Deutsch laser cut image was inspired by and based on a photo from the G. Paul Bishop Archive.
